Information processed
We receive submitted URLs, job timestamps and status, video titles and technical metadata, download counts and errors. We temporarily store video files and preview images to provide results. Visitors are not asked for Facebook passwords, accounts or cookies.
Retention
Videos and preview images expire 1 hours after completion and are removed by scheduled cleanup. Expired or failed job records are retained up to 90 days from creation. Pseudonymous visitor records are retained 90 days and aggregate daily/language counts 730 days.
IP addresses and infrastructure
Our server receives your IP for network delivery and abuse protection. Application job tables contain an HMAC-derived IP identifier rather than the raw address. This is pseudonymisation, not a promise of complete anonymity. Infrastructure error logs may include IP addresses and request paths for troubleshooting.
Browser storage
Session cookies support administration and request security. Session storage holds the result access token so a request can resume. Local storage may hold your advertising and analytics preference. Do not share result URLs containing access tokens unless you intend others to access the file.
Optional providers
Google Analytics and Google advertising are loaded only when configured and after consent. These providers may process data under their own policies. External advertising links lead to independent services. Clear the stored browser preference to choose again.
Purposes and requests
The website server and configured Facebook Studio downloader process requests, access the Facebook source, protect the system and support operations. We do not sell download-request lists. Contact admin@snapfb.live for access, correction or deletion requests, with enough information to identify the job. Requests are verified and handled under applicable law; mandatory retention or dispute obligations may apply. Updated 8 October 2026.
